The Battle of Townsend’s is a Civil War Festival and Living History event with a strong focus on education.

The annual Civil War “re-enactment” is named after organizer Clay Townsend’s former family restaurant, where the festival used to take place. It includes Civil War battle re-enactments along with living history and educational displays. The battles include as many as 1,000 Union and Confederate soldiers as infantry, cavalry and artillery. The festival is held annually at the Renninger’s Antique Center in Mt. Dora, Florida.
